Passes over the planet.
Each film is one pass from the space station: the Caribbean, the aurora over North America, the Sahara giving way to Italy, West Africa running up to the Alps, Southern California down into Baja, Antarctica, New Zealand, the Middle East, the Atlantic meeting Spain and France.
What a pass shows.
Weather, coastline and the curve of the horizon; on the aurora films a green curtain moves over the top of the frame. The camera does not cut, so each film is one continuous pass.
What the curve does to a desktop.
The horizon sits low and the frame is mostly dark, which makes this the collection that disappears behind windows most easily while still being unmistakably in motion. It also means the films look best on a large display, where the arc of the planet has room to be an arc rather than a line.
